Smt. Sangeeta Kaushik is currently serving as Executive Director, heading the Corporate Planning, Business Development, and Consultancy functions at NTPC Limited, India’s leading power utility and a Maharatna Enterprise. She also serves as the Chairperson of the Boards of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and NTPC Mahapreit Green Energy Limited (NMGEL) and has been nominated as the Executive Director of the World Energy Council – India.

Prior to her present role, she was stationed in Dhaka as the Managing Director of Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Pvt. Ltd. (BIFPCL), NTPC’s first international joint venture.

A Gold Medalist in Electrical Engineering from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Ms. Kaushik also holds an MBA from MDI, Gurgaon. Joining NTPC in 1986 as an Executive Trainee, she has built a distinguished career spanning more than 39 years in the power sector.

Her experience encompasses a wide spectrum of roles, including heading the Technical Services function of Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station, India’s largest power plant, as well as leading NTPC’s Business Development and Consultancy divisions.

Smt. Kaushik brings a rare blend of design engineering expertise, strategic planning acumen, on-ground execution experience, and business leadership, providing her with a holistic perspective of the power industry.

She currently serves as a Nominee Director of NTPC on the Boards of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL), NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited, Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited, PTC India Limited, Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Limited (BIFPCL), Energy Efficiency Services Limited and NTPC MahaPreit Green Energy Limited.
