Shri Sanjay Shrivastava (Director)

Shri Sanjay Shrivastava is holding the position of General Manager (Finance), Coal India Limited (CIL), which is a Maharatna enterprise under the Ministry of Coal. He has an illustrious career spanning over three decades in corporate finance, strategic planning, and financial governance. He is a seasoned finance professional and member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He also holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from Nagpur University.

His academic and professional credentials have empowered him to lead and transform financial operations across diverse sectors including infrastructure, mining, and power generation. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening the financial architecture of CIL. His leadership has been instrumental in driving financial consolidation, digital transformation, and policy optimization.

Prior to his tenure at CIL, Shri Sanjay Shrivastava held key positions at South Eastern Coalfields Ltd., subsidiary of CIL, where he contributed significantly across various financial functions.

His core competencies span a wide array of domains such as corporate accounting, cost control, treasury and fund management, taxation, budgeting and forecasting, statutory compliance, digitization of financial operations, and enterprise risk management. He has successfully led enterprise-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations and championed initiatives that enhanced financial transparency and enabled real-time reporting.

Recognized as a thought leader in public sector finance, he  is known for his ability to integrate operational precision with strategic policy insight. Beyond project management and financing, he has played a crucial role in shaping pricing strategies, regulatory frameworks and resource optimization aligned with national energy and infrastructure objectives.
